To perform a remote installation of ESET NOD32 in a domain network, either the Windows Firewall must be disabled or File and Print sharing must be allowed. See the steps below for creating a Group Policy Object that will turn off the Windows firewall and allow File and Print sharing.
This procedure is designed for administrators installing to computers that are part of a Windows 2003 Active Directory (The operating system shown in the steps below is a Windows Server 2003 computer with SP1 installed).

Download and install Microsoft Group Policy Management Console on the server (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads)

Open the Microsoft Group Policy Management Console

Create a new Group Policy object

Enter the name of the object

Edit the new object

Open Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → Network → Network Configuration → Windows Firewall → Standard Profile. Right-click on Protect all network connections properties, and from the context menu, click Properties.

NOTE: If you want to allow File and Print sharing, select Allow file and print sharing exception. -
Select Disabled.

Create a link for the Group Policy Object (GPO) that will assure the use of the object in the chosen domain.

The setting will be applied for workstations in the chosen domain.
